I have talking to guy for few weeks that met on Facebook dating. He asked when we could meet up and I suggested dinner. He told me that dinner was overrated. So, I asked what would he like to do besides dinner. A few days later, texts me that he has been thinking of me and would like to come over my apartment and cuddle ( he has sent this message multiple times) and to be with me. I didn’t respond. We recently had conversation and told him that I felt he wasn’t really interested in me and he said, “ he believed he was interested.” He told me that I’m Standish. I told that him that didn’t trust him and he apologized if he ever made me feel kind of way. I feel like he only wants sex from me, which what most of guys I run to online dating sites tend to want and are not even interested in going a first meet up / date.

Yes, the guy is interested and yes, he is interested in sex and sex only.

The fact that he did find an excuse not to go to dinner and to spend the time instead "cuddling" leads me to believe that you as a person does not interest him but your body certainly does.

Your problem will be that once he has sampled it, he will quickly lose interest and that you will be back to square one, that is without a partner that loves you for whom you are and not just for your sexual organs.

Best is to insist on going to a public place for the first 3 or 4 dates until you know that guy better. If he does not agree or finds an excuse not to be in public, then you know you should not insist.

A guy that truly wants to get to know you would not have said dinner was overrated. Yes he def sounds like he wants sex as he is used to getting that. I am happy to hear that you did not respond to his cuddling. He should know better. Some guys are interested but that's why it's good to ask questions right off the bat to know who you are dealing with, since it will tell you a lot about where they are. I wouldn't waste my time with this one unless you see that he is putting effort, otherwise not worth it

Yeah he's definitely not interested in a romantic relationship. You didn't want to take you on a date so either he's afraid of being seen in public or he doesn't want to put in the effort. Honestly him just wanting to come over to your apartment/house for the first date is a huge red flag. What if he just doesn't look anything like he says he does, what if he's not alone, what if he's just there to rob you. So yeah, no big loss on this guy.

You could also test this by telling him
he can only come over as long as you guys dont hook up. See if he still wants to come over then.
