Is this guy interested or not?

There’s this guy I started talking to and I feel like he’s not serious and I wish he’d come out and say that. We talk at times but like 3 times he stopped responding and he would respond the next day and say like he’s been busy with work or he went out last night etc. He said he’s not really looking for a relationship and we’re just talking so I’m not expecting anything but why even message me. It feels like he’s wasting my time and I’m not expecting anything but I can’t not reply to someone but at the same time I don’t want to tell him anything and he thinks I like him or I’m being dramatic.

He probably feels like since he told you he doesn’t want a relationship and you’re still entertaining him then maybe you’d be down for something more casual like a friends with benefits situation. If this talking phase is new, then there’s just no good reason to be so quickly invested that you can’t walk away. Like to continue talking to him and acting like his intentions are such a mystery when he’s flat out clarified that he doesn’t want more than this just doesn’t make any sense.

If you're really interested in him, try ignoring him for a while. Sometimes if you act like you aren't interested in a guy at all, they'll go to the ends of the earth for you.
