I matched with this guy on Bumble and he recently moved to the city i’m in. We’ve been talking on and off as he’s busy settling in. Our last convo on bumble was him asking for my number so we could talk more through text.
Skip to a few weeks, i didn’t really think much of it when he never texted. However, on valentines he reached out to wish me and jokingly asked if i’ve already forgotten about him. We texted back and forth for a bit and he asked me if i was free at the end of the month to have a belated valentines date (very cute by the way)
Cut to the next day, i woke up to reply to his message and he replies back a few hours later saying: ”Anyways hit me up whenever and take care till then!”.
So he obviously cuts me off very politely and i’m baffled. He seems like a nice guy whenever we text but problem is i think he doesn’t really text much and it has me confused if he’s interested or just wants to go out with anyone available at the moment? I’m not sure guys so explain what is going through this man’s head?

He's been in town for a little over a month, and you two seem to have hit it off well. Without knowing how intimate the conversation is, it seems like he's interested in you but not willing to fully invest and commit.
Essentially, I'd guess that he sees potential in you but he's also in new territory and probably doesn't want to get tied down early on without experiencing what his new area had to offer. So by giving you just enough to keep you on the hook, he can slow burn you into a relationship eventually, probably.. but until then, it's likely open season with anyone else.
I could be extremely wrong though, and you can test this theory by creating false accounts on other date/meet apps and see if he's active on there. If so, you'll know he's looking for others that aren't you. It would also explain his desire to move to texting, as if he thinks he's got you locked down, you'll not go to the same sites and apps he's using. Its a way of compartmentalizing. This may be excessive, but if you see potential in him, it wouldn't hurt to check into his motives yourself. What you do with your results is up to you.
He is done.
