I don’t believe that’s true at all! Certainly not nowadays anyway. I always pay for my own food and drink on the first and usually second dates. Once I know he’s not going to use that BS “what do you mean NO! Do you have any idea how much I spent on you tonight”, then he can pay for an entire date, but we’ll alternate paying after that. If anything its the guys who have an issue not paying for the date. I have had guys flat-out tell me that I “made them feel emasculated” b/c I wouldn't let them pay! I could easily say “If anything MEN are the ones who are too insecure about women paying” but not all men are… not even the majority of them. Just like not all women are “dating for dinner”, or even the majority of us. Because all people are individuals, all with different values, experience, and expectations. Of my 5 closest friends, 3 of them do the same thing I do, but two of them insist on the guys paying… again, because everyone is different! You have 22yrs more experience than me, do you REALLY believe that nothing has changed in a GENERATION? Good lord, we have more sexually transmitted diseases, abortion is no longer a right, and we spent a third of our most formative years, our teens, locked down, or restricted in some way. If I can see how different dating is now, from how it was when I was in 9th & 10th grades… Then believe this, things have changed a LOT in a generation.

@CrazyGirl2 The majority of women from around my age/generation are like that. That is just ONE of the reasons I don't like women from my age group/generation. (Not just now, when I was in my 20s I didn't like women from my generation for the same reasons I still don't like them 20+ years later) And they get angry and say that I shouldn't like younger generation women, but I have NEVER been compatible with the morally messed up women from my own generation.

Yes, like Henry Winkler (and Albert Einstein) I too am dyslexic! It’s not exactly seeing words backwards, it is the brain’s inability to properly process and understand written words, but “seeing words backwards” is an okay metaphor. Also there is a girl in my psych class who has Multiple Sclerosis, and she writes way better than I do. She says it just takes a little longer, and requires her to proofread everything two or more times, but her reports are better than mine, and I know because she was in my psych class last year. That doesn’t surprise me as she is on the same track as me with the same guidance counselor, so she’ll likely be in all my general psych classes. Dude don’t use MS as an excuse for sloppy writing, MS affects your muscles, not your brain’s understanding of words. Also bi-polar disorder is not an insult, it is a medical disorder. But no, I do not have bi-polar disorder, I just cannot stand trolls who pretend they can’t spell the simplest of words one day, but are fine the next, or write one way for one person, but completely different for someone else.
