I recently bumped into my former lecture. I haven’t seen him in a good few years. We were catching up and I mentioned how my friend did a talk for him recently and he doesn’t remember it at all. When we were speaking he couldn’t stop smiling and was chatting to me like a friend almost.

He kept looking into my eyes, never flinched or looked away during the entire conversation, it felt really intense like there was nothing else around so I kept tryna look away. He then started describing me while looking at me, he said that I’m young then paused for a while like he was about to say I was beautiful or something (really obvious he was tryna stop or rethink what he was about to say) then said I’m really enthusiast and asked if I could help mentor with for students. Am I just other thinking? I’m only sharing this as it felt really intense and I’m trying to make sense of it all

If he is asking you to mentor some of his other students then it probably is more professional in nature that you think. If he was attracted to you, he probably would keep you outside of Work environment. Make sense?

Yeah makes sense but I completely forgot to add to the question, he even knows and described things that he knows about my family/life yet doesn’t remember my friend visiting him recently at all?

He is being mysterious and manipulating your Interest. It usually is a fun thing for all people as long as no one falls in love... Do you think "something" is going to come to fruition here... ?

I’m not sure. But I just shared this just because I was quite taking aback, ya know? I’ve never had intense eye contact like that with anyone ever and I didn’t know where to look. It is mysterious. As he only asked me to to a talk to the students which is why I saw him but instead he’s now asking me to mentor which means I’l be there more? He even mentioned his ex wife (they were together when I first knew him so they’ve split since I’ve been gone) and asked where I’m staying?

It is a little sleazy rather than just being straight about intentions. I would not be surprised if you are not the first nor will you be the last... and maybe a wife/S O hidden in the mix too. It takes me awhile for sleazy detector to go off unless blatantly nasty like LGBT relationships... My detector is going off as nothing is for free in this life... Be Smart about things !!! You sound like you are together SO keep it that way :-)

Thank you! So it isn’t me over thinking at all? He clearly has other intentions that he’s not just telling me? Just for peace of mind so I’m aware and he doesn’t take me behind friendly as a sign! 😊

I think so and i am not one to jump quickly when it seems grey area. I think your gut and "something is going on" is right BUT I am no expert... no experience with large age differences...
