Its a guy friend of mine who does this in a gaming server we play in. irl he’s normal and doesn’t bring the act into life its just online.

If it is literally meant to be role play in a setting where that is acceptable I think it is completely okay. The real freaky thing would be if he was himself.

Just picture it! Guy arrives in some plane of molten lava and wandering fantasy creatures and there he is. Glasses. Sneakers. "Hi guys, I'm Dave.". Now that is a mentally unstable person.

No, it's just fun. If they're anything like traditional stories, you get to have fun twisting what people have asked for into something they don't want.

Like "Make me the most handsome man in the world" - All the other people disappear, so you're the only person in the world.

No, you can play whatever you want.

Unless you are refering to a specific game, in which a demon character is severly unbalanced and you have to compensate for lots of shortcomings.
