Do you think this is an ugly thing to do?

Question

So I was outside the garage yesterday in my car. There was a young man standing outside begging for money with a cup in his hand. A young man walked past him and the begger asked the young man for money and the young man said that he had no change but he wasn't even looking at the begger when he was saying it. So he did not look bothered. Then the young man got into his brand new volswagen car and drove past the begger and stopped and made the begger walk over to the car so he could give him a few pennys through the window of his brand new car. Then the young man had to turn around and reposition the car to drive out.

For some reason I just felt that this was a really ugly thing to do from the young man. Like he was not even looking at the begger when he said that he didn't have any change and then I feel he only drove up to him so he could feel inferior in his brand new car. He had to reposition the car so it would of been easier to just walk back up to the begger to give him the change if he found some in his car. What are your thoughts?

Nah. A lot of people keep change in their car. All of mine is in my cup holder.

There were a lot of people in Anchorage that would ask for money. I didn't feel safe walking downtown and wouldn't make eye contact. Take care of yourself first. We don't have to look at every single person who asks for money in the street in the eye when we say no. & I wouldn't feel comfortable going through my wallet in front of them anyways.

I’d say he didn’t look at the guy because it’s awkward and then he gave him money because he noticed he had some in his car 🤷‍♀️. Seems kind in my opinion. The guy with the car shouldn’t have to act as if he doesn’t have a car when giving money to a beggar.

Nah. Beggars are annoying as sh*t and could get a job if they wanted to with government assistance programs. They just don't want to. The preppy guy was right.
