Am I acting out?

The guy I'm kinda dating right now has just returned from a 3 week road trip. Everything was great until last week. He returned and told me immediately that he won't be able to make time for us until he is done with all the stuff he has to do since he was away this long. I'm okay with it since i understand.

Last week I texted him about a concert on Sunday, he told me that unfortunately he won't make it for the concert but hell see if he has some time to see me because he wants to give me a present. Knowing how busy he is I ask him when is he going to let me know about Sunday and he tells me that hell text me by Saturday. Saturday came, I waited the whole day and he didn't let me know. Sunday came and still no information until late lunch. He asks me if I'm busy that day and I tell him that I'm going to be free the whole day.

He doesn't let me know much during the day until around dinner when I text him and only then he tells me that he has a plan after dinner and he doesn't know when he is going to be free. He said that he might get free only after midnight.

I get angry, but I don't show it. He notices it and says "it's not like I'm having fun not letting you know anything" and I respond "I'm not having fun either just waiting around"

We have a little exchange of points of view. I tell him how I feel and then say that I'm still willing to come even if it's late.

He answers after an hour and just tells me "don't worry, there is no need".

He won't answer any of my texts after this.

Did I overreact?

I don't know, it's really weird that so much time passed and he is still so dodgy. Maybe he was just so used to not being around you for three weeks he forgot that he even has to communicate with you. In that case it would be an overreaction. That's the best case scenario

But if it's the worst, which easily could be the case because he only comes back at midnight... he is either hanging out with a bunch of troublemaking buddies a little too much or having an affair behind your back, and both situations can mean trouble.
