Why would some of the male employees/trainers at gym avoid me after I followed their instagram?

I noticed some of my coaches other clients follow the other trainers on Instagram so I did the same I thought NOTHING of it. I actually went to high school with one of them so I followed his personal page as I could tell he was now and again looking maybe wondering where he knew me from! He accepted my request but didn’t follow back but I followed the female coaches too and I noticed the guys seemed to avoid me around the gym / act like they want to steer clear from me Why? It’s just a follow?

CUse it's nothing but trouble for them for one, they don't want to get fired from that gym or loose their license.
And 2, their knowledge and expertise our their way of making money so why would they want to give you extra help for free?
Sure they could text you proper exercise form but then you won't go file a training season with them and they don't get paid, just like how sex workers aren't gonna just give you free pics, that's how they get paid.
I don't want to talk to any women at my job, literally anything can be perceived as sexual harrasment these days, the new way of thinking is "if they feel harrased then it's harrasment" so they just aren't worth the risk. , something as simple as complementing part of their outfit could be considered harrasment, sure it's fine women do it to each other all the time but it can get a guy in a lot of trouble..

My trainer would always tell me "clench your but and lock your core" for every lift, you see how telling a woman that could get him in trouble if she is a bad person? Or he would put his hand on my back to help me visualize my shoulder blades moving closer together as I did rows, see how a man touching a female could be an issue?

It's just better and safer for male trainers to stick to men.

Really? I have guy friends that train people and one that’s trying to get an IBFF card who sent me lots of free info, it’s fairly easy to find one fitness person that is willing to share knowledge, how would they get into trouble? I followed their BUSINESS page, and the guy I knew in school who’s personal page in followed was giving me sure fire signs that I thought he would’ve been accepting to conversation with me perhaps I was wrong or he wanted to be nice as he would’ve assisted me in there as his job but that’s all. I can see how that would be an issue but most females who want to train would be level headed enough to not make a thing of that and I’m sure the guys proceed with caution. Ps I have a trainer and she’s their colleague so they probably know I didn’t follow them to be their client as I have a PT. I’m just worried they think I’m trying to get at them or something … because my insta does have “sexy” pics but eh there’s a chance they will have forgotten already

by the way I do agree I think females should stick to female coaches ! and I get what you mean, they worked hard and get good money for their knowledge giving ir free to someone that attends that gym would be irresponsible and senseless and straight up simp behaviour I wouldn’t be surprised if it hasn’t happened before and that’s why they acted weird about me following them! the gym is very busy surely at least one attractive woman bas tried it before

That’s how one gets demoted or fired.
They have wives or serious girlfriends.
They not sure you are not crazy….
They probably talk to one another and thjnk they’ve got a Gym Trainer Groupie on their hands. I say this only from getting this kind of attention from women during the high-level of soccer team sport years…

So would I be best to just unfollow them and talk to the females if I need any help and get on with my workout maybe try to when they aren’t there

Did you ask before following?/ That's always a good practice... mostly because it shocks the mess out of people. Instance trust or more trusting consideration. I probably should have done this beforehand... are you okay with me following you-for whatever reason etc...

No I didn’t ask or even speak to them just kind of followed out of the blue so yeah they where prob shocked, do you think it’s likely as s guy they would’ve discussed it with each other

If they are anything like Soccer guys before matches, changing in/out cleats, reviewing the week THEN yes !!

Don't take it personally.. some people like to increase their followers with less following.. to make their page look better

NO CLUE. Maybe there's a company policy for staff NOT to fraternize with the clients.
