What are signs you are getting emotionally attached/invested?

Guy and i go long way back but this time we're acting like couples, trying to share our day, recommend things to each other, share problems, comfort each other. The emotional intimacy is too strong. What are signs you guys got it bad?

I think what you are witnessing is a sign of maturity. In the past you were still young so you didn't have the capacity to be emotionally involved.

Young people tend not to be emotionally available like mature people. They also tend to think a little selfishly. When people grow up they become a little bit selfless and the capacity for empathy also increases. That is why relationship are much better when older as you are able to cater to each others needs and be each others shoulder to cry on.
