Why my dentist caresses my hair/head?

I have had this weird experience with my dentist, he always caresses my hair without any reason. It happened 4-5 times. And no he is not much older than me to do this thing. What to interfere from this activity of his?

I remember one thing, we were discussing something he told me that he changes his cellphone every 1-2 years I said why would you do that he said - I cannot change my wife , so at least let me change my cellphone lol. I was like this is not something that dentist tells to their patients 😬

Dentists have a job to make their patient feel at ease during procedure. So doing small things like telling jokes can help. I’m not sure if he actually likes you or not, but most likely he won’t do anything to you sexually because it’s his profession. And I wouldn’t complain about him unless he really oversteps boundaries. He has to get into your mouth so touching your head makes sense. But if he starts rubbing your shoulders or something then you can start getting worried.

Touching face, head while working is inevitable. No complain about that. But let’s suppose we are having some conversation he comes and caresses my head. This out of his treatment. At one point while treating me he leaned over me and talked with his mask on chin, i felt he unnecessarily leaned so much. Also there was no need to pull mask down.

What do you me caress? Like messing with your hair or massaging your head? Or just touching it? Is this before or after treatment? Just asking cus it may be serious and the guy could be a pervert who does this on multiple patients. But if you don’t genuinely feel like it’s sexual harassment, I’d leave it alone cus it would be a huge deal. He’d probably get his license taken away and life ruined for sure.

You got it correct, messing with my hair kind if thing. It is after the treatment when we were just talking randomly or the moment when he cracked a joke and I laughed etc. I have seen him with the other female patients too but he didn’t do anything that he does with me. Even his assistant is female, I have never seen anything like this with her. He behaves very friendly with me maybe because he has known me more than 6 years now. It would be wrong if I say he is sexually harrassing me. Also he compliments me a lot on the way I talk, my fitness etc. so I feel he is being little flirty or attracted.

Assuming he likes you I doubt he will actually pursue you, especially in a professional setting. If you are uncomfortable I’d just tell him you don’t like to be touched or just find a new dentist which there are plenty I’m sure.

When I was at a doctor, I think last year, a female nurse was touching my hair, turning them into curls. She said "you have soft hair".

Honestly, when you are naturally good looking, you tend to get that a lot. Lol. 🥰

Lol she was clearly like in her late 20s. Probably early 30s.

But yeah, I think they try to find ways to slip through the cracks or something by touching my hair lol.

But I think, like two years prior, when I was in a hospital gown. There was a nurse that would always be finding reasons to touch my butt (I have a huge butt for a guy). Like she bumped, slid, etc... one time I was filling out a form while bending over in the hallway and she instead of walking on the other side of the hallway, she walked up closed to me and ended up squeezing passed me on my butt when there was like there was one guy in the center.

Then when my next check up happened a random patient there just flat out slapped my butt lol. She said she couldn't help it. 🤣🍑

I love the feeling of my butt being touched so its fine. But nowadays, I think healthcare industries are trying to be more careful lol

I have seen him with the other female patients but he didn’t do anything which he does to me. In fact I have been going to him more than 6 years now. 6 years ago he was too rude with me, he used to yell at me while treating me 😶 and now he haa completely changed😂 and yes he is damn cute so feels little nice on choosing me 😂

At my last root canal sitting he was being too friendly, he continuously kept on giving me the compliments on my fitness. In the middle of my treatment he used to touch my shoulder, my hand. Even when I was trying to get up from the sleeping position he used to give me support by holding my shoulder. Then he himself removed my drape which was tied around my neck and looked at my boobs and said ‘you are soo fit’ in very lower voice. I felt he was turned on. Then he took my hand and asked if I was feeling okay. I said yes then he put his hand on my back.
At every visit he caresses my head and touch my hand, shoulder. Even rests his hand on my shoulder while working.

My dentist has my contact number saved. After this incident he messaged me asking how I was feeling. I felt it was unnecessary. I haven’t seen any doctor texting and asking or enquiring their patients. I mean they cannot text one one person and ask about their health 😬
