Is it weird that my dentist keeps asking about me?

So I was supposed to do job training at my dentist office as Dental Assistant. Because I want to get some experience before I go to Dental Hygiene school. I've been going to that dentist for many years. Ever since I mentioned I had an interest in dentistry. The Dentist is always asking my parents about me. I also go there sometimes for Dental work. The last time I was there he was working with my mom. And he and I were laughing and talking making small talk.

Yesterday my parents went and the dentist he asked them about me and asked if they had any grandchildren. My parents said he was just making small talk. And that since we’ve been going there for so long we are like family. I think it’s weird that he’s always asking about me. But maybe I’m just reading too much into this.

Yeah i think you are reading too much into this or maybe you are interested in him that you thinking too much of this you said it you are like family and go to him for years he’s just a close friend to the family this is my opinion on this matter nothing more
