I would rather know who it was from.
I have received an "anonymous" love letter back in high school that was pretty sus in the sense that it seemed to be a prank set up by some ex friends of mine. Details were mentioned that only they would know and the meeting location was a public spot where it would be active.
Reeked of humiliation, so I never followed through with it and tossed the letter. Didn't feel like being embarrassed by half of my hometown because of a cheap joke.
