Why was a random older man give my trainer bad looks whilst he was watching my walking lunges?

I didn’t know what to do as my trainer is male and doesn’t wear uniform so I’m not sure if he thought he was being a creep or something

Same thing happened to me when i was on a date with a guy, there was an old lady in her 60s, who sat behind me glaring at my date. I asked him why she was glaring at him. He replied "she's probably just a cougar"

When people grow old they are typically a lot more desperate and can't score dates with attractive young folks like they used to. That old man was likely jealous that your trainer gets to interact with an attractive woman, which he knows that he can't get. When people get old, they get less desirable which means its harder to find dates but their attraction remains strong for young people.
