She scolds you because you reply to her text messages when you should be resting for work the next morning or when you should be having your rest after coming back from a night shift.
I know you asked guys but coming from someone who used to be like that with her boyfriend let me just say it’s unnecessary. The sentiment is there and stuff, but sometimes people get in the house and aren’t quite ready for bed. You don’t wanna feel like his mother scolding him for not being in bed on time or something like that. He knows he worked all day, and if he has an early morning. If he wants to respond to you message until he passes out then there’s no need to parent him just let him do his thing.

Whoops. I do that 😅
But I'm in a different time zone than all of my friends. I only do it when I know they should be sleeping, but are up playing games or watching netflix.
If the message was urgent and important -- a guy should read this and try to respond soon as possible could. But I can't see a reason for a girl to be upset unless the guy was intentionally ignoring her; in which case; he should admit it and apologize. But if it was nothing more than a simple "hello" -- the girl should be patient for a time and wait.
