Guys, for the first text conversation w/a girl, how do you start it?

i know this one guy was gonna ask me a homework question so i was expecting a “hey, so what’s for homework?” or something along the lines like that, but instead he just texted my name that’s it

“hey/hi”

“hi/hey, this is (name), what’s for homework?”

“hey/hi, what’s for homework?”

“hey/hi, did you study yet?”

“girl’s name”

Did you reply yes or no ⁉️

yea i did i said “hi (his name) what up”

And he said…

he said “did you do the study guide for class yet” and i said “nope not yet, you?” and then after a few questions back and forth he asked “do you think i should do the homework first or study?” when i think he already knew the answer. then i said “good luck” and he wrote “thanks you too” this is the first time we’re texting, I've only known him for 2 weeks

I t will be in university library 8th floor…in study room 3…. grabbing journals to fully develop by Doctoral thesis if you care to drop by for some quick help with homework….
