Why would a guy all of a sudden have a girlfriend of 10 years?

I have this guy friend from work that has been flirting with me non stop for almost a year now suddenly tell me he has a girlfriend of 10 years. We are currently friends so he does know I go out with other guys and I see it bothers him but he hasn’t done anything about it. Then he tells me he has a girlfriend which I think is a lie. We talk on the phone for hours almost everyday and he has never mentioned her. We have never actually went out but he does stop by to hangout and I see him everyday at work. He messages me that he misses me and “wavs” all the time. He also says to me guys and girls can’t be friends. I told him let’s keep it from here out work related and he still flirts etc. I pretty sure he’s lying but why

I just think some men are really good at being sneaky. It’s not hard to give you a few hours of time on the phone with you, especially if he doesn’t live with his girlfriend or she’s just oblivious to your “friendship”. So do I think he’s lying? No. What I do believe is that he’s one of those men that has fun flirting with a woman from work because he can get away with it. Women do it as well. I don't know if he’s bored of the relationship or isn’t fully committing to her, but if I were you I’d distance myself. Plenty of men out there to flirt with that have less baggage.

I had a guy really into me and I found out he had a 10+ year relationship. Ended up getting married and engaged all while he was flirting with me. I found out a couple years later when I decided to look him up. Facebook told me everything. Oh and they had a baby together (2 years after we werent around each other anymore). I was bummed because I really wanted to reach out to him and spark something. Like…REALLY bummed. there's no going back once they have a kid. At least I dont want a guy with a kid.

His behaviour with you seems more like a guy who has fallen for you due to being unhappy in his relationship.

No guy in a happy fulfilled relationship cheats, its unusual.
