Why would my ex reach out to me to see how im doing then turn around and post he's in a relationship the next day?

Why would he be concerned in anyway about how I'm doing , its been exactly 11 months sense I be heard from him and reaches out to me too see if I'm ok and how I'm doing then a day later post on Facebook he's in a new relationship?

He’s probably just checking up on you, could’ve been feeling guilty that he’s in a new relationship already and just wanted to make sure you’re doing okay and has properly moved on I guess
