We met in high school about 4 years ago. I saw him first, and he surprisingly made the first move (objectively extremely attractive guy). He was super into me. But, he had a girlfriend, so I never really played along, and not long after, I started dating a guy as well and we stopped talking.
About a year later, I texted him to catch up, and he told me the restaurant he worked at was hiring so I applied as I needed a job and I was hired. There were a ton of eye contacts and flirty conversations. He was single now, and my boyfriend and I eventually broke up.
However, now that I was single, he started being distant.
After asking like 100 times, he came over to my house twice and the second we were about to do it, he'd stop. The first time he couldn't get it up, the second he just stopped and started cuddling, the third he also just stopped out of nowhere and said he had to go home before cuddling and then leaving.
A few days later, he texted me saying we had to stop talking because I was "way too into him" and "crazy and obsessed", and I mean, I did had a huge crush on him, but I also have this tendency of over-exaggerating what I say to please people (fear of rejection, something I've been working on and still am today).
So, we stopped talking completely. This was in February. Now, about a month ago, he added me on snapchat out of nowhere, and a few weeks ago he started sending me game requests on chess. com (we used to play together a bit at the time).
I don't know what to do because now I think about him every day and It's driving me nuts that time is flying by and in 2months I'll be on the plane leaving to Australia and we might never know what could come of it if I get another chance with him but this time being truly myself and not who I think he wants me to be. But at the same time I don't want to seem desperate if I text him after our last conversation which was him telling me that I'm way too into him.
What should I do?
