Why does he only get mad at me?

Okay so i have this friend. Some days we act like we are besties and other days we want to literally kill each other. Every so often we get into screaming fights and get so mad at each other, but after like 3 days we are fine. Like why? Should we stop being friends? He acts like my biggest critic. He is also the type of person who never really gets mad at anything like EVER, but when i do something he GETS SO MAD. WHY?
