Extraordinarily easily. Men don't like to read minds. We are generally not as good as women at reading signals and signs and eyes. Typically, we like to be direct and appreciate the same. But, there's another piece to this. Guys often get accused of only wanting sex or only wanting whatever part of a relationship that will lead to sex. So part of the "not knowing you have a crush" is hoping to skirt the accusation that he's just another guy wanting sex.

All of what I wrote are broad generalizations. Many guys are not like that and many guys may be worse.

Where I'm really going with this is: communicate with him. Just tell him you'd like to go out for a drink, or that you find him attractive.

Sometimes they may think you are just being friendly or they don't want to assume you have a crush on them and be wrong so they convince themselves that you're not interested

I assume people just want to be friends. I’ve never been with anyone so I legitimately don’t really know when people have feelings for me or if someone has. I’ve always felt like I was just a friend person
