Split up with my boyfriend and we agreed we won’t work, since then he has been randomly messaging me?

We have been split up for a few weeks and have been talking near enough everyday since, sometimes he will send me the most random message to get a response from me.

I said to him last night that we shouldn’t talk anymore and he tried to keep the conversation going by asking me numerous questions, which I ignored and didn’t reply.

Today he has posted this on his social media “When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life”

what do you think is going on in his head?

Talking to you often is familiar to him. It’s tough going from interacting with someone everyday to nothing at all, so I get his position. However he can’t have it both ways, getting the perks of a girlfriend without committing. I think you’d be best served creating some distance between you two so that you can start moving on and healing. You don’t need his agreement to start making changes, just do it.
