Should I ask him? are these signs that he likes me more than just a friend?

Im still trying to figure out if he likes me he gives me signs that he does we were friends for two years we would only have sex though but when i got in a relationship he stopped talking to me because i was respecting my relationship then he recently start it talking to me again he came over to see me last week we had sex we were making out he was being playful trying to make eye contact with me he cuddle with me before and after he wouldn't stop making out with me then he left and texted me saying he will let me know when he got home and he did then the next day he texted me then two days ago he applied for a boyfriend application i approved it and well we are going out now but i don't know if this relationship is just for play or if it's serious he is the jealous type all he wants me to do is to let him know where im at all the time but i don't know if i should ask him and be like so is this relationship a serious relationship or its just a joke because he might take it the wrong way i don't know how to tell if he really likes me.

If all you do is have sex then there is no way to tell. The way you describe it would make me lean towards it being just about lust and convenience. But I don't know what you tall about or do aside from the obvious
