Because she’s just someone he recognized and said hi to. Now you’re blowing it out of proportion as if he can’t be polite and it means something bad. It doesn’t matter what happened with him and his ex 7 years ago he doesn’t have to flat out ignore her friends in passing. You’d rather he be rude?

Your real problem is not with this girl he said hello to, it’s with him being shady in his behavior. It’s not a red flag to use manners and say hi to someone he knows rather than ignore her. He doesn’t have a problem with her so why not greet her? You should focus on the bigger things bothering you, not this.
