Guy friend calls me his best friend?

Long story short my guy friend and I have been hanging out more as of late. I’ve known him for about a year now and always suspected he had a crush on me but for some time I never entertained it because I was in a relationship for a time. Lately he’s been calling me his best friend, asking for girl advice, been extremely touchy and flirtatious with me. But he has had friends with benefits with someone before and isn’t committed to anyone right now and I’m deciding whether I want to distance myself from him now. I started to realize when he talks about other women who like him I feel some type of way. He also went out of his way to introduce himself to my dad and wants to come watch a movie with me and my family. I don’t want to get entangled in any kind of situation-ship because I value our friendship. He’s been a ride or die friend for a long time and I’m afraid if I distance myself I’ll lose that friendship. Any insight or advice? by the way I do have some feelings for him
