I feel like scientific studies about lower-ed all indicate that male brains develop differently than female brains and the way modern schooling is set up, it caters more toward how female brains are wired and not to male brains.
It's no secret that girls develop fine motor skills earlier than boys do. That's why women tend to have nicer handwriting. Yet schools continue to teach writing very early. In kindergarten, girls' fine motor skills are at the place developmentally where they really benefit from learning that skill. But boys aren't there yet. Their fine motor skills develop later, but by the time their brains are developmentally ready to learn, modern schooling has moved on to other things without even giving them a chance to be basically proficient in the ability to take legible notes.
That's why boys are seen to be disruptive and struggling with school more so than girls. They're not actually worse, but the modern school environment is not ideal for male learning.
Men's IQ is higher than women's. The gap would be larger, if items showing a larger difference between men and women had not been expunged from tests as carefully as they have for the best part of a century.
Low IQ kids are the worst.
