anyone who passes their bare minimum level of physical attractiveness. its a safety mechanism we and all animals have to protect ourselves.

if they are visually unappealing i. e. they look ugly/scary then our brain tells us, they're probably threatening/dangerous and to be avoided or in extreme cases stamped out of existence.

there can be many ways to "stamp out your existence" but because murder is illegal, there can still be ways to remove your contribution to this world i. e. bullying someone into suicide or ensuring that your bloodline ends with you by telling all women to avoid you etc.
historically speaking undesirable genes have been weeded out of the gene pool and the practice still happens today as best as it can be through the confines of the law.

Could be poor hygiene, looking unkept, etc... If someone looks like they smell bad then people are way more likely to avoid them even if they don't look otherwise ugly.
