My friend hooked up with this boy and ever since it happened he’s been telling people what he did with her. Is he actually proud of this? Why is he telling other people

He probably is proud of it, yes. He's telling people because isn't that what we do? I'm not justifying it or saying that what he's doing is right, but I think that's somewhat common. As for why, some of it is "look at my conquest", some of it is "I'm a man" bs, and some of it is "wow... this was awesome... I want to share this euphoria".
