Guys, What does it mean when a guy just wants to hang in a group setting because he wants to be friends but can’t hang one on one with you?

We decides to stay friends but the most we did was kiss and other things but not sex.

Why can’t he hang out with me one on one if he just wants to stay friends?

He said he didn’t feel romantic vibes from me only friendship

Does he want to see what i’m like next time we see eachother in a group setting?

He has told me he really likes me and that he enjoys my company because we are fun together and that he’s really attracted to me.

There are two possible things happening her but one is for certain. He is not totally comfortable alone with you. This is his way of insulating himself while getting to know you and feel your vibe. It is a common protective measure and approach for guys. Sometimes, it can get a little creepy with the staring and observing though BUT that is not intentional.

When he is comfortable he will move out to you. He may still be trying to decide friend or more. Who knows how long this will take to decide...

yep! But if it was straight up friendship he wouldn’t be weird about hanging out with me just one on one. We also met like 2 weeks ago. Also, my friend is setting up a gathering with us soon.

I want to show him I didn’t mean to give off

Well, he doesn't act like a friend at all because he doesn't want to see me one on one only in a friend group and he also said, “I feel more of a friend vibe and i’d like to keep it at that. sorry!” which then i told him I was nervous on our first date.

Anyway, i’m seeing him next week. Do you think its possible to change his mind about me since I won’t give off friend vibes but that i like him a lot too.
