We had great chemistry when we met. We met only for one month and he went too fast, he would text me every day, asking me to hang out with him. He even bought me a ring. I think I saw this as a red flag so I told him to not text me anymore, that I wasn't interested anymore. After, he blocked me from social media, but still keeps my number on WhatsApp.
I guess the real question is why do you care that he blocked you everywhere but there. Sounds to me like this was a disaster of a relationship and you dodged a bullet potentially.
Any guy that is getting you a ring after a month is really trying to move way too fast, just as you suspected. I would agree with you that it is a huge red flag and that you did the right thing by cutting it off.
As to why he didn't block you there? Who knows? Only he does. We can guess why he may have done that but no one knows but him. It could be that he forgot. It could be that he didn't have much personal information there compared to other social media.
What I mean by that is that other social media outlets he uses might have what he is up to, who he is having out with, where he is etc. Maybe WhatsApp doesn't and that is the reason he wasn't concerned. I am not familiar with that app, so I don't really know for sure.
I see it that he keeps the rear door ajar just in case you change your mind. I presume that it is easier to contact someone with this WhatsApp rather than on any social media. He blocked you on the social media because I presume that it impacts more on how the blocking is perceived.
He may have realized that he moved too quickly but by removing you from his social media, he gives you the impression that he fully understood you yet, by keeping a rear door ajar, he hopes that you may change your opinion in the future and then it is so much easier to contact you again.
