Why does my boyfriend do this?

When I don’t respond to my boyfriend he will get mad and tell me not to text him again or don’t hmu ever again then he well text me after like nothing happened. Why does he do this?

Seriously the whole, when to text, when not to text... texting to much or too little it's a delicate balance. For some people it generates a lot of anxiety. With that said there is healthy amount of anxiety then there are obsessive, toxic behaviors.

Me personally when I text a girlfriend, and she takes more than few hours to reply when I know she's not working or doing something I think that's rude. But I am NOT texting her 20 times a day... I might text once or twice at most, and that mostly about making plans for things. So over texting is a big red flag that people in general do not respect enough.

But when someone becomes less and less responsive its a clear sign, they are busy, losing interest, or just not into you. So, women do this all the time, they act interested and then only text the bare minimum... so it sends mixed signals and especially when you try talking about it and she doesn't really say anything.

So honestly, your behavior is triggering something in him, so it is up to you to decide if its toxic or justified behavior.

Because he gets a reaction out of you. It’s like if someone is offering you something and you don’t respond quick enough, so then they go “okay I guess you don’t want it”, then you quickly react with a “wait no I do!” Response. He loves dangling his presence in your life like a piece of meat in front of your face as if you can’t walk away too.
