It's not just the men on this site, the woman are just as bad. There are countless posts by women who have little to no standards bitching about guys that treat them like dirt... when they're the dimwitted ones that go out/hookup with whoever says hi to them at a bar.
That's what it comes down to nowadays. As I was talking to a friend in States a standards, hard work, taking responsibility is a very rare find in today's society. People don't like to be responsible. People don't like to be held accountable. It doesn't matter on the sex.
And why in 20 maybe 50 years the majority of Western Societies will be down the tubes and look like a shit fest rather than anything representing a decent respectful or respectable country.

@coachTanthony - the genders go hand in hand, that's the problem. I've tried to dating sites for example and some of the expectations of men on these sites are just appalling. But they don't think anything of it because they've had some women accept even encouraging their outrageous behavior.
With regards to your post if they've had a bad experience with a woman accused them of say stalking or harassment when all they were doing was trying to ask her on a date they're going to look at all women in a similar mindset. And unfortunately there are a lot of women that are just plain stupid and cause more problems than their worth.

There will always be two groups of guys, those that do the work of figuring out the world and their purpose and those that think they know it all and give their opinion to anything but if they were questioned they don't have a fundament and start the blame game with personal attacks.
I don't think it's wrong if guys complain about a situation though because that just means they figured out that something is wrong. It's only a problem if they started blaming issues of the past or different other people for problems they have and created over times.
Though I get their reason, too. (because I've been the same for some time) I think it's worse because it shows that a guy can't handle life and isn't in control of his actions. A guy that isn't in control over himself could be a danger to everyone else since he might not have a backbone or values.
Sorry but I don't think there will ever be a time where all males were men or gonna be men.
I therefore think it's way easier and productive to create spaces for the first group of guys to meet and learn from each other. Keep each other accountable and help each other learn then make guys that are not interested in working or take steps to change their mind.

When Kobe Bryant passed away a couple of years ago, people came out calling him a rapist even though he was found not guilty and we haven't heard of anything from the women who made those allegations against him. how about society put some accountability on those who lie about such things? are you in favor of that? will you be at the forefront of that when it happens?

False reports of sexual assault are dramatically overestimated. Just do a google search. So since there is a miniscule change of it happening to the average guy... lets' just bitch about it and stop interacting with women altogether? Because that is what is happening. Most men who do terrible with women will somehow bring up shit in hopes they don't have to improve themselves. They will just say... see look this can happen so NO THANKS LOL Ridiculous.
rapes are also a small percentage of interactions, it doesn't stop women from being afraid of men and having their guards up. we still lock our homes at night even though the chance a break in is low. we still put on seat belts even though we may never encounter a car crash in our lives. parents don't leave their kids with strangers even though the majority of strangers wouldn't harm the kid. in safe cities cops wear bulletproof vests because there's a possibility they could be shot at anywhere. something being unlikely to happen is not the same as something that would never happen and people have the right to consider all possibilities.
and as far as stats are concerned, the false reports of sexual assault aren't that high because interactions are simply not that high either and what constitutes as sexual assault/harassment these days is entirely subjective not to mention there's very little stigma towards lying despite what the virtue signaling crowd says.
In the 60's and 70's nobody believed a woman who got assaulted. Fast forward to the 2000's the narrative was we must now believe all women. We need a balance of evidence and justice.
that's easier said than done. even if a man was found innocent of sex crimes and doesn't have to serve time in prison, employers will still be hesitant to hire him and women would still try to avoid him as much as possible. regardless of stats, it's the attitude society has towards these type of things that is the much bigger problem.

60s and 70s was a time line when people pretended they were the all American white picket fence perfect family while dreaming about running their relatives over in the driveway. Just look at sitcoms like Married with Children that makes a mockery of the average household during the late 70s, 80s.

@suzzieQ bar fights don't get taken seriously by the public and are easily forgettable. no one cares if Jack and John get into a punch on fighting over Jane but if either Jack or John are said to have raped Jane whether true or not, it becomes major news to the public. it's not just celebs who have to worry about this, regular folk have lost jobs, lost scholarships, been expelled, been imprisoned over such allegations and because they have less money and overall less people vouching for their character, it becomes even harder. it's not just something immediate to worry about, 10+ years down the line any of these allegations can pop up and the accuser can claim they were too scared to come forward at the time. how is the accused suppose to combat that?

There is no estimate, most men aren't sitting there guessing the national or global statistic, they are going mostly by local friend's experiences, and if most of those are bad, it's a red flag for your area.
