Of course. Always be careful. There aren't a lot of dangerous men out there, but there are some. You should get to know a guy well enough to have a sense of his character. Learn about him but also trust your gut.

Yes, and boys/men should have a healthy distrust of women they don't know.
There are a lot of shitty people in this world, and anyone would be wise to not place their trust blindly in someone who has not earned their trust.

Sadly yes. They shouldn't have to but there are a lot of jerks and creeps and the system does a poor job of protecting women and girls.
