There was literally a guy who told me how nice I smell, and every time he enters a room and smell my perfume he knows I’m around. He said it SO MANY times …

he would say it while looking in my eyes deeply, and smiling… he even mentioned that I’m beautiful and I’m attractive ( you’d guess he’s definitely into me right? Well.. no )

when I asked him why he was constantly flirting with me , he replied that he’s like this with everybody.

So … just make sure the guy says that only to you and is flirty to you only. If he does, yes he’s flirting SERIOUSLY and may be interested/ attracted.

I think if an opposite sex compliments you about how you smell, they’re totally flirting. Unless if it’s a close friend or a relative that just wants to know what perfume you’re wearing so they can buy one too haha.

When I'm intimate with a woman, the first things I do is touching and smelling smelling her body. There are very few people whose smell I like, and sometimes it's kind of a miracle. A very mysterious phenomenon probably in relation to pheromones.

On the other hand I generally hate parfumes because they spread mostly lies about the person wearing them. But even then, sometimes a miracle happens when a discrete parfume seems to enhance the beautiful natural smell of a person.

So, to answer your question, if the guy says and means you smell good, he certainly likes you sincerely.

Borderline, maybe yes maybe no. More so with the follow on statement.

I tell girls their perfume is smell great or that they are beautiful often which I think leaves the potential interpretation open without being too potentially creepy.

I think it would require more dialogue to determine his intention as it could go either way

Did you notice the way he said it? Was it like really sexual or was it just openly and nice? Maybe you smell really good and a guy just wanted to point that out as a friendly compliment. Or.. maybe he's thinking about something... it really depends. Mostly matters on the way they presented it and body language. :)

Honestly. It’s hard to tell sometimes. It could have been a complement and it might have been flirting. My advice to you is that if you really like him. Then ask him out. If not. Then just leave it alone and hope he moves on
