I was sitting in a bar with my boyfriend and his friend

His another friend was at another table and my boyfriend went to pay a bill

When that second friend left he passed near our table said bye to a guy sitting next to me and ignore me, didn't even look at me

I said Bye too tho...

When my boyfriend came back i told him that

:"he probably did it out of respect because you are my girlfriend"

A similar think happened with my ex-boyfriend. So I do know about this. It was not out of respect for you, it was out of respect for the friend! Me and my ex were at a party, and as we were leaving, I gave a girl I knew a hug and said goodbye. I know my b/f knew her but he didn't say a word to her, he didn’t even look at her. So when we got to my Jeep, I asked him why he was for rude to “Jane”. He told me that she was dating one of his best friends, and if he did anything “overly friendly” it would be very disrespectful to his friend, so because it’s entirely subjective, and even the guys dont know how far is TOO far, they avoid even the appearance of disrespect, he thought it better to just say nothing! Some guys believe that a friend of their’s being friendly to THEIR girlfriends is a sign of great disrespect. So most guys avoid their friend’s g/f’s like the plague, to avoid even the appearance of being disrespectful and loosing a friend! So if I have to put real money on it, I’d say that he was doing what he thought necessary to avoid the appearance of being disrespectful to his friend, by being completely unfriendly to the guy’s girlfriend (you). I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you, and I certainly wouldn't take it personally… it’s just one of those “guy things” that we will never understand!

Well he may respect his friends, but it doesn’t look like he respects you! I mean what would it matter if he DID come on to you, you wouldn’t cheat on your boyfriend! I hate when guys say that “I trust you, I just don’t trust so and so!” It’s like “yeah, well unless you think he's gonna rape me, then you just accused me of being willing to cheat on you!” I ALWAYS turn that shit right around on guys who pull THAT shit! Why would he even suggest that he trusted you but not his friend unless he believed somewhere inside him that you would take his friend up on an offer and cheat on him with his friend? Look, when I was in high school I had a best friend, who was so much more beautiful than I am. It was frankly intimidating! But when my boyfriend got into a huge fight with his dad, and was genuinely scared for his safety, even though my parents would have killed me if I even suggested that my boyfriend sleep over the night… I called that dropdead gorgeous friend, because her parents allowed her boyfriend to sleep over all the time! I asked her if it would be OK for Lee to sleep on the floor in her bedroom just for one night. Of course, she said yes, it would be fine, and Lee spent the night there. But think about that I sent my boyfriend to the most beautiful girl in school to spend the night with her, in her bedroom, where she could have worn something very sexy, and he would sleep next to her on the floor or… I don’t know maybe in her bed anything could’ve happened? But I trusted my friend and I damn sure trusted my boyfriend. You cannot love someone if you do not fully trust them because by definition love requires complete and total trust because you’re giving somebody else your heart, and if you cannot trust them with your most precious emotions… You cannot love them! CLEARLY, he does not trust you. What you do about that? That’s entirely up to you, sweetheart. But I wish you all the best, and I truly hope that you’re able to work through this and resolve it and no matter what happens come out, the other side, a better stronger woman, then you were before it happened.

I’ve explained it repeatedly I can’t explain it anymore. If you think he’s being respectful, I guess thats all that matters. There is literally nothing more I could ever say to illustrate my point that unless he thinks his friend will RAPE you, by him “not trusting HIS friend” he is saying that YOU would fuck the friend if you had the chance! Interesting... I also think it's that. I had one of my boyfriend's friend say after i asked him why he greeted me last "oh i say hi to my bros first" and then laughed and said i am just kidding and then smirked. My boyfriend got his joke though and i was there like...🙄
