Does he really care about me?

Whenever I get mad at him for any reason he’d always apologize for making feel that way and would try to make it up to me. Like he would listen to all I got to say about how he got me mad and then he’d apologize and try to make me feel better. does that mean he cares about me?

I mean wouldn’t it be the same tho? Like if he’s apologizing to keep me happy it means he cares about me right? Like he wouldn’t know how I feel about something he did or said unless I tell him that’s when he’s like “ sorry to make you feel that way” and then he’d start explaining why he did or said that or like what he actually meant but he never gets defensive about it.

Yeah I actually thought about this too. But if he’s doing it to just shut me up he wouldn’t try not to do whatever got me mad again, right?
