I don't get jealous anymore, but I used to get jealous other other people for maintaining fit and reasonably healthy physiques, despite living and eating like crap. I was struggling with losing weight for like 15 years, and I would see other people drop pounds and get frustrated. I was happy for them, of course, but I was getting pretty resentful of not understanding why other people were able to do this thing that I was not.

I would follow all the advice, eat fairly healthy, I've never been a big snacker, I exercise fairly regularly; none of it would work, and I eventually got to the point of being a good 100 pounds overweight. Well, one day I decided to get my thyroid function checked. Lo' and behold; I have an under active thyroid!

The reason I was struggling to lose weight so much had little to do with my own behavior. It was because I hve the metabolism of a gallopagos tortoise.

I'm sure we all do. I voted A, sure. But then I remind myself and cool down at how, often, I and we all, actually probably have it pretty good. It being, just, appreciation for what we or i do have. Sometimes easier said than other times, totally, but you know... sometimes even the way you know, I mean even rich people, have bad luck, have bad omens or just seem like, well, money didn't really make them all much happier. Likewise, being homeless, I reckon, ain't fun at all.

Yes, I have been in the past. I think envy is a really hard thing to admit to so not many people would honestly say they have been jealous of others even though they have. It's a human emotion. What's toxic is how you deal with it and if you project it onto other people. I used to be really insecure so I used to experience quite a lot of envy. And it was usually about beauty, because girls are primarily valued for their looks.

I'm not jealous when I'm around normal people. If I meet somebody who does 80% of the talking and won't let me get a word in edge wise, I might be jealous of the attention they get, cause they do not deserve it. If I meet somebody who ruined my reputation and they have thousands of friends, I met be jealous cause they do not deserve the popularity they have.

I can't imagine being jealous of someone... I mean in like a healthy way sure, like "wow bro, your new car is sick, I'm jealous haha..." like sure, but that's just paying respects to someone else's accomplishment. Been there many times where you're just celebrating each other's W's... I love that, and love that for people, ya know?

But to the point where you're trying to knock people down a peg because you're feeling inadequate and outright envious of someone else? I can't even fathom that. Like those are some inner, demons or something that someone has to work out for themselves... that's super wack.

I'm too focused on me and what I'm trying to achieve than to worry about someone else, and having that lack mindset... projecting all your issues out onto other people...

Crazy thing is there's so many people like that.

It sucks some people are given such power, and some people are just short.

I used to be jealous of kids that had rich parents. They didn't have to drive a crappy old car and they could go to a fancy college and get to live on campus and never had to worry about paying tuition. They got to go on nice vacations and have sailboats.
