Why is he calling me mom?

I’ve been friends with this guy for a couple months and sometimes he’ll call me mom. (He doesn’t use it in like a “ugh thanks mom🙄”) (it’s more like whenever he’s really happy or really grateful for something) and we sometimes flirt too.

no I don’t think so, we’re the same age and (I’m not sure what the big of busy body means but I’m thin and we hang out a lot) and like I said he only calls me mom whenever he gets really happy or is really grateful I did smth for him

Are you sure it’s not like a slang type use? Because I know I’ve herd,“hey papi” type stuff before so I’m thinking maybe it’s somewhere along those lines
