Was I the jerk for complimenting a girl's hair at the gym?

today I was lifting weights at the gym and there was a group of three white girls and right before I left. See basically what's the standing right there and I don't know if she looked at me or not but I told her that she liked her hair. I actually did not start off with higher hair or anything like that so I didn't really great at her but I did say I like her hair she looked at me and she said huh and I repeated what I said to her like I said what I meant and she said oh thank you but not in a really sweet tone. I'm starting to feel more and more Andrew Tate because women out there really need to stop watching the Hollywood and believing with these Jezebel's or telling them because the Bible is real and only the Bible says the truth and we don't need any more Amber heard's , and Oprah Winfrey's we need real women real women like Candace Owens and Paige Layle

Excuse my typos, I used voice recognition. To clarify, I never said hi or hey to start with... I was getting ready to leave the gym so I said I liked her hair even though she didn't notice me at first
