This girl I met named Michelle who is Russian randomly said “I just did my hair” for no reason after she said her name was Michelle. This girl seems really introverted (shy) since she said her name in a casual soft voiced monotone way and then said a minute later that odd statement of her hair even though nobody was talking to her beforehand.. or at all while I was there talking with her grandma and another woman in our complex
I figured she just wanted to be complimented on her hair and because I noticed nobody was talking to her, i stopped talking to her grandma who she came to meet and I said Nice to her in a low sudden whisper voice seconds later. I didn’t expect her to hear me (and maybe she didn’t expect to get complimented) but she slowly turned her head and gave me a coy smile that awkwardly turned into a nervous smile showing her full teeth like you do when you don’t expect to take a photo
Overall, I’m glad I gave that compliment to boost her spirits as I’m sure she appreciated my comment and wanted her hair noticed for some odd reason. Even though I’m a stranger, if I see her again with her grandma, I’ll talk to her because it’ll hopefully make her less shy
But if anyone could tell her why she did wanted her hair noticed, I’d appreciate that since that was weird? Oh and she didn’t seem like one of those know-it-all egotistical girls who reminds you they’re pretty 24/7 when she said that either
