When a guy is sick what should you do?

When a guy is sick and you’ve wished them well but he then says “I’ll be ok soon don’t worry” should you say anything more or just give him space?

It depends on who the guys is.

Wish them well regardless.

If he's just a friend... just wish him well and pray for him. He probably has a girlfriend so his girlfriend or family can take care of him.

If he's a boyfriend... wish him well, pray for him, and ask if he needs anything. Make him chicken soup if possible. Use disposable plates/bowls, spoons/forks, and cups. Remind him to take his medicine and ask him if he's feeling well every 5 seconds... jk give him time to rest. Make sure you tell him you love him.

If he's your husband do everything the same as if he were your boyfriend. Plus wash his clothes. And move him to a spare room so he doesn't contaminate your bedroom.

I expect the same from my male friend/boyfriend/husband.

Some guys like to be left alone when they are sick.
Others don't like too many things you might give him, like soup, goodies, etc., because it feels like to him that you are mothering him. Guy's like their lady to be their lady, and not treat them by mothering him.
Then there are the guys that love a lot of attention, soup, ice cream, lots of love and hugs, fresh clothes, beverages, tissues. It all depends on what's wrong with him.
I would flat out ask what he likes when he's sick.

It’s actually really common for guys to want to deal with being unwell alone or to not want their significant other to crowd them too much. It may even be link to male machismo. I think the best way to support him is to be receptive to any needs or support whilst not being afraid to intervene and seek medical help for him should his illness get worse

there was an episode on Gilmore Girls where Paris's boyfriend (who later wrote Hunger Games and Empire irl) is sick so instead of babying him like he wants she gets her big brutish nanny to take care of him, it's hilarious. that would be my style

It depends. If you are dating him you should know if he wants care or to be left alone. If you don’t know, ask if there’s anything he needs.
