Guy friend behaving strangely?

In the one hour that I saw him recently, he has:

Shown me videos of him ramp walking (he has a 9 -5, this was at a fun office event)

Asked me if he looks handsome and has swag in said video

Spoke in a foreign accent that he really like for an uncomfortable 5 minutes

Showed off his expensive bike that I've seen many times before

Asked me if I was trying to get rid of him when I asked him to see if the girl he likes texted him back.

When he was leaving, he said there's more things he wanted to tell me - but he doesn't feel ready now

I don't know what is going on with this boy tbh.

He's trying to impress you and he has a huge ego.

He acts insecure too sometimes. Like when I compliment him randomly, he sighs in relief. But why is he trying to impress me though? I'm already his friend - we've known each other for 5 months now. Also he says he likes this girl who's an acquaintance of mine.

He might have a crush on you? And I agree, he is insecure.

I just want to be friends though, we have good banter and I want to keep it at that. What do I do? I encourage him to pursue the other girl and have told him I'm not in the space to date seriously right now.
