Ladies, how do you get to know your new friends?

Whether you making friends with a guy or a girl, are there different ways to learn who they are as a person and understand them?

Also, is there a specific way or guidelines for men to follow when trying to do this with a new female friend?

I find it super easy to make friends with guys who are out going because I just feel instantly comfortable with them and like I can say anything. As for making friends with females I feel it takes me a bit more time because they tend to be more quiet but I usually let them do the talking and once comfortable I jump in.

I've never thought about this. I just talk to the person and I get to know them. If I feel that I like them, I keep them around. If not, then I stay away from them. To me being friends with a girl is no different from being friends with a guy.

As for the specific guidelines, I would just say that you must be respectful, polite and kind like in any other friendship.
