I´m not sure if most guys would but I prefer the girl next door type since she seems more authentic and more like me than a woman that needs high expensive clothes. Mostly because I´m not that much into fashion and fancy clothes either that I rarely buy expensive clothes.
I think there are guys for both types of girls so to speak but a reason why it might seem that the girl next door type seems to be prefered because it´s better for environmental reasons and because a lot of guys seem to freak out about relationships in general.
