Is it bad that he stopped calling me by nickname?

A guy I like at work used to called me a nickname every time he saw me. He’s shown signs of interest, and it progressed where we went on a date recently. We also have plans to go to dinner again (something he initiated) but at the moment haven’t planned a day.

One thing I have noticed is he hasn’t said my nickname since we started hanging out outside of work. He’ll say my name a lot more though. Same with less compliments like before. And even though we have plans and he’s been the one initiating these hangouts, is sorta feels like he’s not so persistent with the planning.. very go with the flow.

are these signs I should be aware of, or is this normal in the early stages of getting to know someone?

I mean I wouldn't necessarily call it a bad thing but I definitely wouldn't call it a good thing either. Just try not to look too much into it. I use to talk to this girl where I use to tell her I loved her a lot and after a while I stopped doing it and she mentioned it and thought I lost feelings but in reality I just felt like she already knew, the reason I bring it up is sometimes it can mean more but at the same time it can just be nothing at all. Just keep going with the flow and see what happens. If he already has lost feelings then I don't know if there's much you can do anyway. But I think you're fine

Thank you. A lot of my friends said the same thing where if he already knows you’re interested and aware he might not consciously realize he stopped doing it.. but you’re right going with the flow!
