My boyfriend stopped calling me by pet name?

My boyfriend and I have been together two years. He used to refer to me as babe or baby. I never called him that or anything because well, I never did in past relationships although I would like to it just sounds uncomfortable. I would just say their names...but now even calling my boyfriend by his first name is weird now when he started calling me baby.

Because of me calling him by his first name for several months he stopped calling me baby and goes by my first name. I told him how much I missed being called baby but he won't anymore Because he said I made it weird for him and I don't call him Hun or babe.

What to do? I feel weird saying babe. Will I get used to it?! Lol

Just call him "babes" or "babe" or "hun" don't say "baby" it just doesn't sound right. I found it weird too calling them that, because it just doesn't sound right. But I mean I like being called babe too, I mean who doesn't. So I guess if you wanna hear it, you gotta say it to him too if that's what he wants?

You will get used to it, just don't think too much about it.

If you guys text at all, start using pet names that way first, maybe it would be an easier transition.

i have always felt uncomfortable too.

once in awhile I'll call him honey or baby if I'm in an affectionate mood.

Perhaps, the fact that you don't call him anything makes him feel awkward calling you pet name.

Just call him babe or baby, you'll eventually get use to it. :)
