My date/hook up checked my LinkedIn before meeting up why?

The thing is my hook up was secretive about his last name and when I asked he laughed it off saying it was a secret. But he right out said he knew my last name because I came up on his LinkedIn and he said he had viewed my profile. He even whispered my full name to my ear. Isn’t it a bit creepy to check someone’s LinkedIn if you only want to hook up with them?

Lots of people look up stuff about people they meet, to make sure nothing bad is out there about them. Lots of people tend to be very secretive about their shi-.

I ALWAYS look up as much info as I can find about a potential girlfriend or hookup, just to make sure they're not crazy

Not really. I always googled someone before I met them in person. Mostly to see if they actually look like their photos / didn't have any kids they weren't mentioning.

Sometimes that included a LinkedIn if that's all I could find.
