How do you know if a guy likes you but is playing hard to get?

For me, I can sense a guy liking me when he's so cautious around me and he's got a different aura around me. Or like when he doesn't act like his usual self when I'm around.

Like for example, someone named Wayne is silly with his friends and all. He plays guitar. Now when I'm around he's so behave and glances at me which I have caught multiple times. He plays his guitar facing my direction and glances at me a few times. Now he won't talk to me nor add my fb nor do anything to connect with me. But when we cross each other at the hallway he smirks at me like a flirty smirk. Though he doesn't talk to me. And so, my friend who's also his close friend told me that Wayne told him that he likes me.

And this is an example of a playing hard to get type. He won't initiate. I don't want to either. So we remained strangers in the end lol because when he added me on FB, i deleted his friend request and he didn't add me again ever since lol.

He was not playing hard to get... that's ridiculous. He was looking for you to show any sign of interest, and you didn't. He also added you on FB and for some reason you deleted his friend request. And you are going to put it on him? That's absurd. You have to do more than just show up and expect the guy to do everything.

He is though. He added me for a long time ever since we exchange glances, it was long enough for me to get a boyfriend so he didn't have the chance anymore
