I think it boils down to the balance you have to find between biological imperative and emotional fulfillment. Some guys just feel the need to impregnate everything they see. Other guys enjoy the emotional intimacy of one woman.

In my own life, I know that the effort and emotional reward of having a deep sexual connection with my partners has made it so that hookups aren't of any interest to me. The only way I would be interested in having more than one woman was if the woman I was with wasn't spiritually fulfilling.

I don't think that is literally true but as far as it is true, I think everything except our conscious thoughts is about passing our DNA down, and there are different strategies biologically for males and females, the male who passes the most DNA down would be the one who gets as many females pregnant as possible, the female who passes the most DNA down will be the one who has the most healthy kids who reach adulthood. I think all of our instincts and subconscious are set up that way. JMO!
