lately i have been asking her to tell me when she gets home safe is that weird?

I'm too over caring? im just trying to show her I'm not like must people.

Be careful not to scare her off, some woman can see that as a threat. if were me I'd find a different outlet to show her attention especially this day & age. Continually asking her to tell you when she gets home safe may get her to thinking "am I gonna get home safe?"

The real question, how does she respond? Also not sure where you work but I'd check company handbook & see what policy is for dating in the workplace.. I've seen people get slapped with harrassment charges for questions/comments like yours.
